John-Jackson trained at Mountview
Academy Theatre of Arts gaining his PG Dip in Theatre Directing. His directing credits include “the taste…the smell…” for Chrysalis Theatre and the London Mardi
Gras Arts Festival, “Bent” at the North Westminster Studio, “Around the World in Eighty Days” Waterstones Booksellers, “Mask Out” Plymouth City Council; and as an assistant
director his credits include “Neville’s Island” York Theatre Royal, “Nine” Cochrane Theatre and “Soap Opera” John Caird Company. John-Jackson has also worked as a workshop
facilitator for a number of companies including SNAP People’s Theatre,
Caboodle Arts, and Chrysalis Theatre. His interests are in new
writing/script development, and educational theatre, in particular the
methods and application of the work of Augusto Boal. John-Jackson hopes to continue his
directing relationship with Ojemba Productions in the forthcoming world
premiere of the first English translation of “Deadline” by
F.Durenmatt, and with Chrysalis
Theatre in the proposed production of “What’s Wrong With Angry?” by Patrick Wilde. |
