ABOUT “BOUNCERS”. An outrageous and
hilarious parody of the disco scene. “Bouncers” was
first performed in 1977 at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. The original cast
comprised of John Godber himself (then aged 21) and Peter Greeves. Many years later
the show is one of the most popular plays on the amateur circuit. According
to Warner Chappell, who own the UK amateur rights, say there is at least one
production of “Bouncers” every single week of the year. Bouncers has over
twenty different roles but is normally produced with just four actors, his
character changing is a common trait of Godber, it can also be seen in
“Teachers”. `Consistently
entertaining.' - Evening Standard. `Bouncers is
brilliant.' - Daily Mail. |
